River Ahlers is successful in everything but love. She's been in love with Adam Beckerson since they were kids. Worst of all she's stuck right in the middle of the brother's dueling over everything and anything, and she doesn't even know she's the ultimate prize.
Adam Beckerson was a boy with a guitar, a smile that sunk girl's hearts and a stone wall around his own. He was anything but perfect, and no matter how hard he tried he was nothing compared to Bobby. Sweet, damaged, with boyish good-looks, nobody thought Adam loved anyone but himself.
Bobby loved River, River loved Adam and Adam only loved himself--or so everyone thought. Then one night everything changes, and as it threatens to destroy everyone involved a tragedy strikes that will break them all...

There was never really a decision that was made. I was always a writer from the time I was little.
2) What's your favorite part of being a writer?
Reading people’s reviews when they love the book, and interacting with bloggers and readers who help out as much as they can. The outpouring of help is amazing, especially when I spend so much time writing a novel.
3) What made you decide to write Flawed Perfection?
Honestly, I just woke up one day with the idea of the characters, and I just couldn’t let it go. I had to write their story.
4) Where you characters inspired by any real life people?
Adam’s character in particular is influenced by my husband with his talent for music, natural ability with children and sense of humor. River also has little bits of me, like her passion for her day job in marketing and love of photography.
5) Where is you favorite place to write?
Anywhere where I can have my laptop and my music playing really loud.
6) What's the hardest part of being a writer?
The actual process of putting a book out to the public. There are a lot of moving parts involved from working with an editor, copy-editor, beta readers, planning tours, working with blogs, working with publishing restrictions, designing advertisements, marketing plans and cover design, etc. Keeping everything on track is a bit overwhelming at times.
7) What's your favorite book?
Emma by Jane Austen
8) What something people may not know about you? That readers would find interesting.
At one point in time I wanted to be a model. I’m not sure how the idea got into my head, but I did.
9) Do you use a certain process when writing?
Not at all. I sit down and write, and I don’t ever force myself to write. I don’t have a certain amount of words I type every day, because I don’t believe in putting something down if it’s junk. I don’t believe in forcing words out that won’t make it to the final cut anyways. I write when I want to, which is luckily, almost every day.
10) What's the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
Funniest thing that’s ever happened to me? I’m not sure, honestly I make a fool out of myself just by walking. I’m not all that coordinated when it comes to walking, but the funny thing is, I can very easily dance, ice skate and do other skilled physical activities. One day at work I managed to trip over a garbage bin (giving myself a bruise that lasted for three months), then scrapped my knee on the bottom of the teller line door as my leg flew up, and finally fell into the safe deposit boxes (which have these hinges that stick out…and hurt ribs when they dig between them) all in one movement. The running joke is that I need a bubble.
I thought the author did very well telling the story of the love that all 3 characters had for each other! River was a great character and I liked her relationship she had with the brothers! Knowing the love that they all had and showed each other was wonderful and the tension between Bobby and River was told in great detail, as well as the growing love between Adam and River. I can't wait to read the next book from this author! Thanks
